'Carroussa Sonore' is a curatorial and artistic project by Younes Baba-Ali that transforms the traditional “caroussa”, a cart originally used to sell CDs broadcasting Koranic verses in the streets, into a mobile platform for contemporary sound art.

Built from salvaged materials and equipped with a battery, audio player, amplifier, and speakers, the cart retains its original function of broadcasting sound in public space while presenting a panorama of spoken word, soundscapes, experimental music, and radio art. In a society dominated by visual stimuli, Carroussa Sonore offers a different, moving, and ephemeral aesthetic experience. Each step draws, through sound, a new cartography of the city, lasting the time of listening.
