Inspired by the experience of moving between different cities, the work explores how stories can reveal the dynamics of urban life and the recurring mechanisms of city development. Through images, sound, and puppetry, familiar and imagined creatures wander the city in search of a place to call home.
Mounted on a bicycle trailer and powered by a 12V battery for sound, light, and subtitles, 'A Day in a City' can be performed in a wide range of public spaces with minimal infrastructure, bringing its poetic stories to audiences wherever it travels.
