'Plum Road Tea Dream_The Hangout' is a multidisciplinary performance laboratory by Samuel Baidoo centred around an autobiographical video game. Combining live performance, video game streaming, and conversation, the work explores new spaces for grief, healing, self-discovery, and transformation. Part coming-of-age story, part collective gaming session, tea ceremony, and ritual, it invites audiences into an intimate space of reflection and shared experience.

In '_The Hangout', a spirit guide invites audience members to explore the video game together through casual conversation. While some visitors actively participate, others observe both the projected gameplay and the players, creating a theatrical and cinematic experience in real time. The full game unfolds over three hours, and visitors are free to enter, leave, and participate at any moment.

'Plum Road Tea Dream' exists in different forms, including a performance, a video game, and an exhibition. Presented as part of The Image Generator, '_The Hangout' functions as an open format and research laboratory in which new elements can emerge and the work continues to evolve. This presentation marks the first public iteration of the project.
